I dont know of a more mature interface for an app. One of the best craft beer apps, I really love the food pairing option, the ability to choose light or dark beer, and the geo tagging map. Nice job!!
Recently watched a documentary called "Beer Wars" and was surprises to learn how many varieties were actually owned by the big 3 brewers. They pose an unfair fight and questionable tactics against the small brew houses. I was looking for an app to simply help me support small brewers when in the beer isle. This is not that app.
lots of sweet features, maybe needs one or two more obscure beers for the hyper geeks, but its got a lot in there & very well organized - more than worth the buck and the content updates automatically which is cool
This app is good for finding a new beer; but crap for storing a reminder of a beer you really enjoyed. If its not in their database, theres no way to add. So drink common brews and youll be gone... :/
Where are the great breweries in Michigan? Bells, New Holland, North Peak.....
I bought it because it was cheap and because a local tavern "partners with" it. But I cant tell what use it is. Everything I tap -- Pairings, Season, Region, Color -- just leads to an alphabetically sorted list of beers that match that criterion... as though 312 is always a more interesting match than Zonker Stout. And if a beer isnt in the list, then I guess it isnt worth knowing about. I cant imagine why Id open this app instead of BeerAdvocates web site, which has more, and more interesting, information. The parts of the app that dont lead to a filtered list of beer names seem to be built with embedded browsers (so again, just use a browser) ... and the featured blog content, on the day I got the app, was 6 months old.
This app hasnt been updated in almost 2 years. Ma y breweries that have opened since then arent on the list.
I wish the developers would remove this app since its completely useless and hasnt been updated in over a year. I take some blame for not doing the research or seeing the last version update was 2011. Still, annoying that they would even leave this in the App Store. Enjoy my 99 cents fools.
This app had a lot of potential, but apparently the developer has given up on it. There have been no updates or additions to the app in years. The beer list is very inadequate and outdated (many of the seasonal beers listed dont even exist anymore). Dont waste your money on this app.
